Kaytura Felix is now BPHC’s chief medical officer in the Office of the Associate Administrator. Previously, Felix served as the director of BPHC’s Office of Quality and Data. Prior to joining HRSA in 2004, Felix served as the senior advisor on minority health at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

Suma Nair is the new director in BPHC’s Office of Quality and Data. Nair previously served as a public health analyst in HRSA’s Office of Performance Review, where she provided training and technical assistance on performance reviews. Nair joined HRSA in 2002 as part of the HRSA Scholars Program.

Joe Fitzmaurice is the new senior advisor in BPHC’s Office of Program and Policy Development. He previously served as the operations director for BPHC’s Office of Quality and Data. Fitzmaurice joined BPHC in 1993 as a public health analyst.

Colleen Meiman is now a public health analyst in BPHC’s Office of Policy and Program Development, Policy Branch. Meiman previously served as a management analyst in BPHC’s Office of the Associate Administrator. Prior to joining BPHC in 1998, Meiman worked in the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary of Planning and Evaluation and the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Legislation.

Gregory Fant is the new associate director in HAB’s Division of Science and Policy (DSP). Fant also serves as the acting chief of DSP’s Epidemiology and Data Branch. He previously served as a health statistician in the Healthcare Systems Bureau, Division of Transplantation, and in HAB’s Office of Science and Epidemiology, Epidemiology and Data Analysis Branch.

Sonya Hunt Gray is the new chief of the Technical Assistance Branch in HAB’s Division of Training and Technical Assistance. Gray previously served for over 11 years in HAB as a senior public health analyst. Gray has also served as a public health analyst at CDC, the HHS Office of Minority Health, and the Office of the Surgeon General.

Karen Mercer is the new chief of HAB’s Northeastern Central Services Branch after having served as acting branch chief since November 2007. She also previously served for nine years as a public health analyst in HAB’s Division of Service Systems. Before coming to HRSA, Mercer served as a procurement specialist in the Department of Defense and in an administrative position in a Veterans Affairs Hospital in Indianapolis.

George Tidwell is a senior public health analyst in HAB’s Office of the Associate Administrator, Global HIV/AIDS Program. Prior to joining HRSA, Tidwell served in the private sector as a medical administrator for a clinic and as director of quality management for a large health maintenance organization.

Deidre Washington is a new project officer in MCHB’s Division of Services for Children with Special Health Needs. Washington previously served as a project officer in BPHC’s Western Division, West Central Branch. She joined HRSA in 2005 as part of the HRSA Scholars Program. Washington also previously served as a program manager in a school health organization.

Terri Cohen is the new chief of the Data and Information Applications Branch in OIT’s Division of Business Information Management. Cohen previously served as the project manager for the HRSA Geospatial Data Warehouse (HGDW) when it was located in OIT’s Division of Enterprise Solutions and Data Mangement; HGDW is currently located in Cohen’s branch.
