In the Bureau of Primary Health Care, John Cafazza will serve as director of the Central Mid-Atlantic Division, overseeing grantees for the health centers and State Primary Care Associations in HHS Regions 3, 5, and 6. Cafazza is currently director of BPHC's Division of Health Center Management.

Also in BPHC, Jack Egan will be operations director for the Eastern Division, which oversees grantees in the primary health care programs and activities within HHS Regions 1, 2, and 4. Egan was the former branch chief for Northern Operations in BPHC's Division of Health Center Management.

Joe Fitzmaurice will be the new operations director for BPHC's Office of Quality and Data. He was previously a senior advisor in the Bureau's Office of Program and Policy Development.

In the Healthcare Systems Bureau's Division of Vaccine Injury Compensation, Rosemary Johann-Liang is the new chief medical officer. Johann-Liang spent the last two years as deputy director of the Division of Drug Risk Evaluation at the Food and Drug Administration.

Also in HSB, LCDR James “Jay” Morris is returning to HRSA as director of the Data and Information Strategy Unit. Morris, formerly a public health analyst in HSB's Division of Healthcare Preparedness, had remained with the division when it was moved to the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response in March.

At the Office of Performance Review, Jeffrey Reck is the new director of the Boston Regional Division (Region I), which covers the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Lorine Jay is one of the new operations directors in OPR's Atlanta Regional Division. Jay previously worked at HRSA as a project officer and regional coordinator working with teams conducting performance reviews.

Beth Dillon is returning to HRSA as the new division director of OPR's Denver Regional Division. She had been serving as the STD/HIV section chief at the Colorado Department of Health and Environment.
